The 30 Day Challenge - Day 4

Day 4 : List 10 Things You Would Tell Your 16 Year Old Self, If You Could.

Dear Self,
Hi! It's Amy from the future, and I'm 10 years wiser. That said, I have some information for you. So - Listen.

1 ) High school is not all it's cracked up to be. In the real world nobody cares about your GPA or extracurriculars. So stop stressing out over that. But, continue to do well, because you'll be getting scholarships.
2) Even though your friends will all be going away to 4 year schools, don't get bummed out. You're going to meet new friends at Germanna.
3) You'll also meet your husband at Germanna. Be excited. And keep waiting for him.
4) It is very wise of you to be taking your time learning to drive. There is no need to rush. 10 years later and the people drive even worse now.
5) One of your high-school boyfriends is a total jerk. So, don't get hung up on him. Instead, dump him first, and if you can trip him down some stairs, do that as well. Don't fall for his crap.
6) Your other high-school boyfriend is pretty cool. He's definitely not the guy you will end up with, so don't put that expectation out there, but you are good for each other for your high-school years. You will help ground him a bit, and he will help you break out and be a little less shy. You're also going to go skiing with him, and it's really fun.
7) Don't loose the friends you have now. Well, don't loose the good ones. Make it a point to keep in touch with them, even though you don't have many classes together. You can make new friends and keep the old.
8) Continue putting zero effort into PE class. It's pointless. You never have to run a mile in 10 minutes in life. Nor do you have to sit & reach or bust out push ups. Just keep healthy.
9) Start doing genealogy research now. It's an awesome hobby. And, it's better to ask the family questions while people are still around, or you are still talking to them.
10) Remember, your family loves and cares about you a lot. They may be annoying, but they aren't trying to be (most of the time). They make you come home by 9 or 10 because they care. They want you to call and check in because they care. They want to know where you will be and who will be there because they care. They really aren't that lame. You will understand once you have children (and really, you will)
~ Also, call Nini. Make more time to talk to her. You'll really miss her once she's not here. Give her lots of hugs, and keep lots of memories of her and her house. She will move into an apartment soon, and you won't get to enjoy her house anymore.
