Tie-Dye Day, round 2.

So you may remember we did a tie-dye day last week.
I didn't forget about the follow-up post ....
Just forgot to get pictures of the shirts after I washed them.

Tie dye day, again!

Today we have a fun craft planned at my house, tie-dye!
So, while I am busy with that today, I wanted to give you a look back at our tie dye day from 2 years ago (almost to the day...weird). Look for a follow-up post from today soon.

Tie-Dye Day - The Shirts

So, here is "part 2" of Tie-Dye Day - The Shirts.
These were really fun to make, although if we make them again, I'm going to allow 2 days for this (I'll explain why when we get there). This is a pretty easy project, and is good for pretty much any age group (with modifications - I did "spray-dyed shirts" with my summer care group of 5yr olds one time, and so did the pre-school teacher).

Tie-Dye Day - The Cupcakes

Yesterday was tie-dye day. Brittany and I made tie-dye shirts and cupcakes, fun and yum!
First you need to check out The Letter 4's blog post on their Massive Volcanic Cupcakes, since they were our inspiration. We made 2 batches: 1 batch of 12 "regular size" cupcakes, and 1 batch of 6 "jumbo size" cupcakes. {If you don't have a jumbo pan, seriously, buy one (here it is on Amazon). They make those nice giant coffee-house sized muffins that are so good. } Ok, moving on ...
