30 Days, 30 Things To Be Thankful For - Part 3

{If you missed the challenge post, you can find it here}

30 Days of things to be thankful for.

I've decided to do my post as a list of 10 things (vs. a new post every day), breaking the list into 3 parts.
If you're doing the challenge to, you can do whatever you like.
I will include a spot to link-up your blog/posts on each of mine.

And here are days 21-30:

Christmas Craft - Easy Outdoor Tree

Ok, first, Yes, I am still working on my 30 Days of Thankful.
Second, let me have a moment here
{*gasp* *ugh* *barf* *uuuuhhh*}
Ok.

Yeah, I'm going to do a Christmas post.
Before Turkey Day.
Sue me.

I seriously just complained about my neighbor putting up christmas lights.
So, here ya go!
I just want you to have a craft in mind when you're doing your Black Friday power shopping.
(and, by black friday, I mean black thursday...)

30 Days, 30 Things To Be Thankful For - Part 1

{If you missed the challenge post, you can find it here}

30 Days of things to be thankful for.

I've decided to do my post as a list of 10 things (vs. a new post every day), breaking the list into 3 parts.
If you're doing the challenge to, you can do whatever you like.
I will include a spot to link-up your blog/posts on each of mine.

These seem a bit silly, some of them, but it gives you something to think about every day, and it's a fun way for you to learn a bit more about me.

So here are 1-10:
1. a person

My family. John and baby John.
I'm also thankful for the rest of my family and friends, too.

2. an animal

My little birdie friends.
I really like birds, they remind me of my great-grandmother.
This is my cardinal couple. They are so cute.

3. a cozy place in your home.

My bed. Warm, snuggly, perfect for relaxing.

4. a favorite snack

Popcorn.
I just really like popcorn.
5. a place

My house. I know, right?
But I am so thankful that we are able to own our own home,
I'm thankful that it is a newer home with no major issues,
and I'm thankful for all the space it gives our family.

6. a pair of shoes

Sneakers.
These are comfy, easy to slip on, go with most any outfit, and were cheap.

7. a scent

Fresh baked anything. Cookies, brownies, cake ...
Anything yummy smelling.
I really love the scent of vanilla and cinnamon.

8. a restaurant

Chick-fil-a. They are so delicious, and a Christian-based company.
I love their nuggets, their fries, their lemonade, their milk shakes ....
(and I love that they have healthy options for kids)

9. a blog
There are actually many blogs I like to read.
Way too many to list here.
And I'm thankful for each of them, and the variety of subjects they write about.
{For some, it's just daily life, some are food, organizing, crafting, sewing, DIY projects, house love ...}

10. a time of day

Nap time. My little break in the day.
A tiny window of quiet.
Although, bedtime is a close 2nd.

30 Days of Thankful Challenge

Since it's November (or Movember, if you're a guy), it's time to be thankful.
(Well, you should be thankful every day, but, you know what I mean ...)
Plenty of people have been listing off what they are thankful for on their blogs, facebook, twitter, etc...
So I thought it would be fun to post a challenge instead.
You can take 30 days, do all 30 at once, do 10 a week for 3 weeks ... I don't really care.

I  did a quick google search for challenges, and  found this blog , with a list <here> of 30 'prompts' to help you with your list of things you are thankful for. Some of them are a little silly (a scent??), but I like the idea of a list of 30 different things to be thankful for. Something a little different.

Here's the list:
1. a person
2. an animal
3. a cozy place in your home.
4. a favorite snack
5. a place
6. a pair of shoes
7. a scent
8. a restaurant
9. a blog
10. a time of day
11. a tradition
12. a gadget
13. something old
14. something new
15. a recipe
16. an experience
17. a store
18. a saying/quote/scripture
19. a favorite piece of clothing
20. a keepsake
21. a disappointment or fear
22. a book
23. a feeling
24. a photograph
25. a luxury
26. a charity
27. a song
28. a gift
29. something in your home
30. the thing you’re most thankful for

Doing the challenge??

Necktie Baby Onesie (Tutorial)

Have you seen the baby onesies with the cute little neckties?
Or the suspenders?

There are billions of cute, crafty things to make for little girls (bows, tutus, dresses, purses, dolls ....), but finding crafts for little guys is limited. I don't really know why. I guess plush tools don't serve much purpose to a little boy, so what else is there?

Pumpkins & Turkeys - Baby Food Jar Crafts

Have I mentioned we have an abundance of baby food jars?
Seriously.
But they are so cute, and useful.
So, here are two (yup, 2) crafts to make with them for the fall.

Pumpkins and Turkeys.
